On paper, Watch Dogs sounded exciting; An open world game that players were free to hack into and manipulate to suit them.
Overall I enjoyed this game and I am excited to begin playing the sequel, Watch Dogs 2. There were some flaws however which I feel were very disappointing and let down what could have been an amazing game. Like the ctOS system that the player spent the game hacking and destroying, there were too many faults.
I don’t think it is too much to say that Grand Theft Auto V was revolutionary for the gaming world when released in 2013. The graphics, extensive map and three playable protagonists were elements which were new to most gamers.
Grand Theft Auto V was the follow up which Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas deserved and Grand Theft Auto IV failed to deliver. Grand Theft Auto IV was good but not great.
The Grand Theft Auto games went from offering a plethora of mini-games, customisation options and an extensive open world to explore to a dull protagonist and lack of the aforementioned.
Grand Theft Auto V, however, is the perfect balance. It took the realism that Grand Theft Auto IV aimed for and met in the middle with the fun and extensive open world of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that the player could make their own.
In GTA V, Of Michael, Trevor and Franklin, Franklin was my favourite character to free roam with. Franklin reminded me of Carl Johnson from the 3D universe and the nostalgia added an extra feeling of enjoyment.
I have been to dinner with Nicki Minaj, clubbing, shopping and most importantly, she described me as her best friend and one of the most talented people she has ever met. I know what you are thinking, I promise I am not being delusional, this actually happened. Sort of.
I bought Max Payne 3 as a part of Game’s 3 for 2 preowned game deal. I only wanted Saints Row IV and Far Cry 3 but I added Max Payne 3 as it was cheaper than the other two and who wants to miss out on getting anything for free?
I left the game in a drawer for a while, more preoccupied with shooting pedestrians with a dubstep gun and flying through the skies of Steelport in Saints Row IV. But that got boring very quickly and when it did, I remembered I had Max Payne 3 hiding underneath old bank statements.
